WE ARE HIRING – INDEPENDENT DESIGN ENGINEER ON ELECTRICAL PROJECTS (M/F)

TESLA d.o.o. is a company specialized in the design, professional supervision, consulting, and implementation of projects for solar power plants, public lighting, electrical installations in buildings, transformer stations, electric vehicle charging stations, as well as various electrical testing and measurements. We are looking for a candidate who envisions a long-term career as an independent designer in the field of electrical installations in buildings and solar power plants (both integrated and non-integrated).

TASKS:

Depending on your interests and competencies, you will be involved in the following activities:

Primarily:
The main responsibilities of the designer are:
  • Preparation of project assignments
  • Development of conceptual, main, and detailed design projects
  • Conducting technical calculations and analyses, including simulation models
  • Review and verification of technical documentation
  • Collaboration with the engineering team on project development
  • Coordination with clients and regulatory authorities
  • Obtaining location permits, building conditions approvals, required certificates, consents, and construction permits
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting
Designing electrical installations in buildings (connections, lighting, structured cabling, fire alarm systems, gas detection, boiler rooms, HVAC, etc.)
Designing solar (photovoltaic) power plants: preparing technical documentation, technical calculations, drawings, cost estimates, procurement documentation, etc.
Participation in supervising the execution of works
Mentoring junior colleagues and communicating/sharing experience related to design within TESLA d.o.o.
Teamwork and collaboration with other disciplines during project development (architecture, mechanical engineering, civil engineering)

 

In addition to the primary tasks, the following duties may occasionally be performed:

  • Parameterization and commissioning of solar power plants, electrical testing
  • Project development and monitoring through technical support and a professional approach to the client
  • Communication with public authorities during the permit issuance process
  • Communication with investors regarding technical consulting and solutions
  • Participation in the preparation of specialized reports:
Connection feasibility report
Report on the optimal technical solution for the connection
Report on the impact of the power plant on the grid
Protection settings report

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • University or higher technical education in electrical engineering
  • Category B driving license is an advantage but not required
  • Knowledge of electrical installations in buildings and/or experience in similar roles
  • Knowledge of solar power plant systems and/or experience in similar roles
  • Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams and create three-line diagrams from them, with clear understanding of components and equipment sizing is an advantage but not required
  • Professional chamber certification and passed professional exam are an advantage but not required
  • Excellent knowledge and use of CAD and MS Office tools
  • Motivation, responsibility, and problem-solving skills
  • Team leadership and employee motivation skills
  • Openness in communication and a team-oriented mindset
  • Foreign language proficiency (English or German) at B1 level
  • Interest in design work
  • Knowledge of construction-related legal regulations
